The very best pizza in Antwerp? Seriously? My experiences say otherwise. Pathetic service, burnt pizza bases, overly salted cheeses, awful taste. The Cheese containers that are served with the bread are refilled on top of the previous eaters' left over. Don't start me on the service, I will rant on for pages. I was totally embarrassed when I took my colleagues there for a team dinner. Anyways, that's what we can expect from the cheapest pizza tent in town.

La Torre
Delicious food. We ate thrice here but we tried only Vegetarian dishes and they were all good. Pizza Vegetariana, Penne Vegetariana, Spaghetti Vegetariana and Pizza L'Aquila. The service is good if not great. A recommended Pizzeria in Antwerp Centre.

Verona
The restaurant claims to be Italian but the chef is certainly not. Tourist trap !! 3 different dishes were tried.: - Lasagna Vegetariana - Spaghetti Pepperonico - Pizza Marghareta all 3 were very disappointing and did not taste italian at all.: Lasagna was stuffed with raw celery instead of eggplants

I have been to De 7 Schaken several times. It has a lovely menu that specialises in local cuisine. If you are up for food that's unpretentious, great, and tastes home made, this is the place for you. It also has a separate bar that is smoking friendly (the restaurant is not). It is also open late for food, which can be a life saver. I highly recommend the pigs cheeks if they are on the menu, they are divine!
