1. Bad service, unfriendly waiters. You can wait 20 minutes to get a menu, then another 20 minutes to get a waitress, and then she'll ask you to make reservation on the bar as she is very busy right now and wants to chat with her friends. 2. Poor selection of wine.

The Old Inn
New sportspub/resto off Louise close to Chatelain. If you want to watch a sportsgame and have good drinks and company... go there!! Premier League to College Football, Golf to National Hockey League they just got everything. Kitchen is nice and prices are just fine. They have a website www.theoldinn.be and you can find their group on Facebook.

Notos
Greek people think that the place is out of price. Compare to what you’ll find in Greece, in a way, that’s correct. But compared to the crappy Greek restaurant you find in Brussels, you won’t be sad to pay the price you actually pay in other restaurants in Brussels for the same food (gastronomy). The food is terrific. And they are specialized in recipes from the north of Greece… Go for it !

The Duke
In the middle of Brussels, you’ll find that spot: luxury, comfort, intimacy and… meetings maybe? That place is attended by a large public waiting for a different way of “going out”. This is more the place where people from thirty to forty go party without complex. Here the music fits us (hum, I’m 34). Nothing like insupportable techno or tectonic… Well, I’ll meet an urban and cosmopolitan public of travellers and expats here. When you’re 34, single and still want to have fun, it’s sometimes good to feel normal, surrounding by people like you.

Le Fils de l'Old Inn
Located in the very hype district of “the place du Chatelain”, Le Fils de l'Old Inn proposes a Belgian and French traditional Cuisine of great quality. Among the multitude of good ideas that we can find on the cart, one of the specialities of this place appears to be dishes containing jam ;-) Another nice idea, is “the speed buffet” for 15 €. And also, the place has a delightful terrace.

Chez Saly
Really splendid exotic fish. That’s the 2nd time I’ve been there and I am far from tired of it. Delicious restaurant, attentive service… very great address. After having tried vainly to find the authentic taste of the Thai Cuisine, it is by chance that we discovered the restaurant-bar Chez saly. And there, we found ourselves in Thailand. SUBLIME !

Triporteur
International and Fusion Cuisine. Pleasant little restaurant for a lunch between friends. Three dishes of the day and a cart big enough to find something we like. Desserts at friendly prices. Very courteous and smiley service. Simple but cordial decoration. In short, that’s worth to test! And even the price is sweet, below 25 euros.

Le Chevalier de Rhodes
That’s odd, but I like this Greek restaurant… although it does not have anything special: the place is kitsch as ever (they even serve “coffee”) and the prices aren’t that good. Then, why? Interesting situation: one of the rare Greek restaurant close to the Louise avenue. Meals : very correct. Does the high ceiling and the candle make the difference? Or is this the habit… not to be disappointed?

Guapa - Bailli
"Refresh your life with healthy juices", this is the concept of Guapa in a few words. The small but very cute shop propose vitamined coktails, all made in front of you. You can elaborate your own one and choose the size and the ingredients (fruits, vegetables, spices), or choose between their delicious combinations. Hungry? Soups, salads, sandwichs, are home made and very tasty (with a little mediterranean touch). To eat in or to take away, and open from 7AM to 7PM, this for me a perfect place for a healthy break, all day long.
